Hello and Welcome to Dorset Cottage Arks
We are a small family concern based in the middle of the Blackmore Vale in beautiful Dorset.
We build Traditional Chicken Arks and Traditional Hen/Chicken Houses in an authentic Victorian stlyle down to the last detail.
The 1930's style Hen Houses are our Easy Clean Range with lLift off Lids and Nest Boxes inside,available in lots of different sizes with Chicken Runs available any size .
The Thornhill Range consists of Broody Coops with Runs and The Thornhill Lodge with Ramp so your hens can go upstairs to Bed.Chicken Runs can be added on to this product to give shelter and an enclosed area when required.
Our wood is pressure treated and on top of this preserved or coloured to customers requirements.
All joints are zinc screwed and all roofing timbers are galvanised nailed.
All Chicken Arks and Poultry Houses are individually handmade from start to finish to give that authentic look and something that you would be proud to own.
We can also build to your own requirements incorporating add on runs or integral runs whatever you really requirel houses come with removable perches and nest boxes. Droppings Boards can be incorporated if required.
The pop holes to the houses are either cord operated or spin round to alleviate any problems with cloging and some baksc are fully removable or lift off for assist easy cleaning. Handles are at either end for easy moving these houses are of heavy construction and built to last.
